Embarking on his career in 1994 with Thomas, Bigbie & Smith, Inc., Scott brought his expertise to RAMS in 2001. His transition from Senior Accountant to Partner in 2008 underscores the depth of his experience and the trust he has earned within the firm.
Scott’s extensive background is particularly noted in the sectors of city governments, special districts, and not-for-profit entities, where he has been instrumental in guiding financial strategy and integrity. His insight into the nuanced needs of these entities ensures that they are not only meeting their compliance obligations but are also positioned for financial success.
As a licensed CPA in the State of California, Scott further distinguished himself with a CGMA designation, reflecting his global perspective on management and accounting. His involvement with key professional organizations such as the AICPA, CSCPA, AGA, GFOA, CSMFO, and CSDA, including roles such as a CAFR reviewer and audit committee member, showcase his dedication to the advancement of the field.
Outside of his professional commitments, Scott finds joy in sports and family. A resident of Riverside, he savors the opportunity to travel and create lasting memories with his family. He is a familiar presence on the sidelines, proudly supporting his children’s involvement in baseball and soccer, reflecting his belief in teamwork and dedication both on and off the field.
